How big each pattern gets
One pixel is one bead. The table below is calculated from each pattern's real grid: color count, how many large square pegboards it needs, and the finished size in 5 mm fuse beads and on 14-count Aida cloth.
| Pattern | Grid | Colors | Pegboards | 5 mm finished size | 14-count cross stitch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frankenstein Monster | 64×64 | 19 | 9 | 32.0 × 32.0 cm | 11.6 × 11.6 cm |
| Vampire Dracula | 64×64 | 17 | 9 | 32.0 × 32.0 cm | 11.6 × 11.6 cm |
| Mummy | 32×32 | 7 | 4 | 16.0 × 16.0 cm | 5.8 × 5.8 cm |
| Spider Web | 64×64 | 5 | 9 | 32.0 × 32.0 cm | 11.6 × 11.6 cm |
| Witch Hat | 64×64 | 11 | 9 | 32.0 × 32.0 cm | 11.6 × 11.6 cm |
| Little Bat | 48×48 | 5 | 4 | 24.0 × 24.0 cm | 8.7 × 8.7 cm |
| Cute Ghost | 48×48 | 5 | 4 | 24.0 × 24.0 cm | 8.7 × 8.7 cm |
| Candy Pumpkin Bucket | 48×48 | 17 | 4 | 24.0 × 24.0 cm | 8.7 × 8.7 cm |
| Black Cat & Moon | 64×64 | 12 | 9 | 32.0 × 32.0 cm | 11.6 × 11.6 cm |
| Jack-o'-Lantern | 48×48 | 11 | 4 | 24.0 × 24.0 cm | 8.7 × 8.7 cm |
| Skeleton Skull | 48×48 | 14 | 4 | 24.0 × 24.0 cm | 8.7 × 8.7 cm |
Sizes cover the pattern only, with no margin. A large square pegboard counts as 29×29, so finished width in 5 mm beads is grid size × 0.5 cm; with 2.6 mm mini beads the piece comes out about half as wide. Transparent cells stay empty, so you need slightly fewer beads than the grid total.
Halloween palette
These colors are counted from the eight patterns on this page and sorted by how often they actually appear, not picked separately.
Keep the background empty or dark so the orange can glow.
Shade white objects with pale lilac instead of grey, and a ghost looks cold rather than dirty.
How to turn Halloween pixel art into beads
Four steps from grid to finished piece; the smaller the grid, the harder it is to go wrong.
1Check the silhouette
A shape that still reads at 32×32 will work in beads. Pumpkins, ghosts and witch hats shrink to 32, while skulls and spider webs want 48 or more.
2Lock the colors
Halloween needs five colors: near-black outline, pure white, pumpkin orange, deep purple and a bright yellow for eyes and candlelight. Fix those first, then use everything else only for light.
3Split by pegboard
Anything larger than 29×29 spans several pegboards. Build the outline first, then fill inward, and leave two or three overlapping rows across the seam so the halves line up after ironing.
4Iron to set
Medium heat, baking paper on top, light pressure for three to five seconds, stopping as soon as the holes start to close. Ironing both sides is stronger but softens the pixel edges; a hanging charm only needs one side.

Frequently asked questions
- Are these Halloween perler bead patterns free?
- Yes. Every pattern downloads free, recolors free and needs no account. Pieces you make can be kept, gifted or sold; remix and repost rules are listed in the license box on each pattern page.
- How large is a finished piece in 5 mm beads?
- One cell is 0.5 cm: a 48×48 pattern is about 24 cm square and a 64×64 one about 32 cm, the latter needing a 2×2 grid of large pegboards. Switch to 2.6 mm mini beads and the piece is roughly half the size, which suits keychains.
- Can I change the colors?
- Yes. Open the pattern in the editor, use color replace to swap one color everywhere, or drop colors to shorten your shopping list. Export a fresh chart afterwards; the original stays untouched.
- Can I try a pattern without pegboards?
- Yes. Export the chart with its grid lines and color codes, print it and place beads on top, or check the 3D preview first to judge size and palette before buying beads.
- What are Halloween patterns good for?
- The 32×32 pumpkin and bat suit keychains, fridge magnets and hair clips; the 48×48 ghost and candy bucket work as coasters and hangers; the 64×64 black cat and spider web make the best door signs and wall decor.
- Will the collection grow?
- Yes. New Halloween designs are added around October each year, and anything tagged halloween shows up on this page and in the tag list, so bookmark it.
